Youth leadership conference at GIMPA

Our origin story

From Dialogue to Deployment

On March 4, 2025, an international youth leadership conference was held at GIMPA that brought together participants from the Vitito Global Leadership Program, President K.A. Kufuor Scholars Program, Beacons of Excellence Central Leadership Program, Young African Leadership Initiative as well as selected students from UPSA and GIMPA. The objective was to provide a forum for the youth leaders to interact, jointly research and have initial discussions about the role of AI in Ghana's development.

Following this conference, six (6) project teams were formed to undertake practical engagements on the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on Ghana's development. The focus areas included: education, agriculture, finance, small business, healthcare and women in STEM (SHEROES). Each team has undertaken extensive research through interviews, field engagements and collaboration with selected Ghanaian organisations.
